Okay, so maybe he's six and a half months now :) but it's been a crazy couple of weeks. At Ethan's 6 month check, everything looked great and he passed with flying colors. Except that the day after his appointment he came down with his 4th ear infection...looks like tubes in the near future. Poor little tyke.
6 month stats:
Length: 27 inches - 45%
Weight: 16.2 lbs - 19%
Head: 44cm - 75%
The funniest thing about these stats is that at his 4 month apt. the % were almost all 30% his head being in the 20%. So when the doctor so how big his head had gotten, he actually measured it 2 more times :-)...no wonder he can't sit up for very long, he has to hold up that huge head ;-).
Some of the things Ethan is doing these day's include: rolling over...and over to get to anything he wants (with some added squirming and wiggling). He sits when he wants to and will stand when he wants to (with someone holding his arms). He likes Oatmeal (not rice cereal), squash, sweet potatoes, green beans, & banana's, but hates carrots. He often squeals with delight (very loudly at times), likes to stick out his tongue and slurp it back in (like a lizard, I'm still trying to get video of that one, it's very cute), blow raspberries and make "boo" sounds. He likes to try and feed himself with spoons, hold his own bottle & drink from straws (which I found to my surprise that he could do, when he kept grabbing drinks/straws from me). He loves to cover his face with a blanket, and just kicks and squeals until you pull the blanket off him to find him grinning from ear to ear. He loves to watch baby Einstein video's (actually he loves to watch any TV that is on, I just decided it was better to put on something that supposedly will help his brain development rather than all the garbage on TV)& he LOVES a crowd - he is a very social baby and especially loves going to the BYU basketball games to see all the lights and noise. He always has a smile for everyone and will let anyone hold him...but at the end of the day, he always wants him mommy to cuddle him and sing him to sleep. He is such a sweet baby - and even when he is sick and doesn't feel well...he tries to be happy. We are SO blessed to have him in our lives.
I love you baby boy!
